Captain PillowBelly travels to the Netherlands

Ahoy, little adventurers! 🐨⚓️

What an exciting week we’ve had with Captain PillowBelly in the Netherlands! From the moment the Beluga floated into Amsterdam’s canals, this country has been full of color, culture, cheese (yum!), and lots of bicycles. 🚲💨

Let’s take a look back at all the wonderful things we explored together:

🌊 We Learned About Dykes

These super strong walls keep water out of the land. Without them, parts of the Netherlands might be underwater! Captain PillowBelly thought they were like giant superhero shields made of earth and stone. 💪

💨 We Discovered Why It’s So Windy!

Because the country is flat and right next to the sea, the wind has no hills to stop it! It zooms around and keeps the windmills spinning and the stroopwafels flying. (Okay, not really — but Captain PillowBelly did chase one that blew off his plate!) 🍪

🚲 We Rode Along with the Dutch

Everyone rides bikes in the Netherlands — kids, parents, even dogs in baskets! Captain PillowBelly tried one too… though he ended up in Jan’s bike basket instead. “Best seat in the city!” he said.

🌷 We Explored Tulip Fields and Windmills

Bright flowers stretched as far as the eye could see, and we visited an old windmill that once ground grain into flour. “A land-powered sailboat!” Captain PillowBelly shouted. (Sort of true!)

🧀 We Ate Cheese, Stroopwafels, and More

Every good journey includes snacks, and the Netherlands did not disappoint. Captain PillowBelly is now a proud member of the Cheese Fan Club (and probably the Stroopwafel Club too).

🎨 A Surprise for You!

To say thank you for coming along on this adventure, we’ve made a special Captain PillowBelly Coloring Pack just for you!

Print them out, grab your crayons or markers, and bring our Dutch adventure to life with your favorite colors!

Captain PillowBelly is already preparing his next journey… Can you guess where he’s going next?

Until then, stay curious, stay cozy, and never stop exploring. 🌍🐨💛

Tot ziens! (That means See you soon! in Dutch)
