🌍 One Country, Many Climates
Most places have four seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter. But in Turkey, the season you feel depends on where you are! Why? Because of:
- Its size (Turkey is BIG!)
- Its mountains and valleys
- Its coastlines on three different seas
- And the fact that it touches both Europe and Asia
Let’s take a little tour through Turkey’s seasons:
🏖️ Summer in the South

Along the Mediterranean Sea in places like Antalya or Izmir, summer means:
- Hot sunny days
- Swimming in warm blue water
- Eating ice cream under palm trees

In Eastern Turkey, especially near the mountains and cities like Erzurum:
- It can snow a LOT ❄️

- Some places stay snowy from December to March!

Springtime in Istanbul is something special:
- Tulips bloom everywhere (yes, tulips originally came from Turkey!)
- The weather is cool and sunny
- It’s a perfect time to explore parks, palaces, and bazaars
🍂 Autumn in the Mountains
(Golden Leaves and Quiet Hikes)
In the mountain villages and highlands, autumn brings:
- Crisp air and colorful leaves
- Local harvest festivals
- Campfires and warm tea
You can wear a sweater in the mountains… while someone else is still swimming at the beach!
