Jamaica is an island in the Caribbean Sea, just north of South America. It’s close to the Equator, the invisible line that wraps around the middle of the Earth.

Jamaica doesn’t have the four seasons like some places (winter, spring, summer, fall). Instead, it has just two seasons:
- Dry Season – warm, sunny, and perfect for beach days!
- Rainy Season – still warm, but with sudden rain showers.
Even during the rainy season, it usually rains for just a little while, and then the sun comes right back out to play!
🌧 Where Does All That Rain Come From?
The Caribbean Sea is full of warm water. When the sun shines on the sea:
- The water evaporates (turns into water vapor)
- That vapor rises into the sky
- It forms big fluffy clouds
- And when the clouds get heavy… down comes the rain!
It’s like nature’s way of keeping everything green and growing. 🌿
