We’re excited to share some updates on our bedtime story project! After many months of writing, tweaking, and refining, we’re thrilled to say that all of the story content is officially ready. Each adventure is filled with Captain Pillowbelly’s charming escapades, and we can’t wait for young readers to explore the world alongside him. However, the project is far from finished. Now, we’ve moved into the phase of adding illustrations and doing all the formatting, which is both exciting and a bit overwhelming.

The artwork is an important part of bringing the stories to life, so we’re working hard to make sure every image captures the spirit of Captain Pillowbelly’s travels. It’s not just about finding or creating the right images—it’s about making sure they fit seamlessly within the pages and enhance the storytelling. Formatting is also proving to be a more detailed process than we initially expected. We want to ensure that every page is visually appealing, with the right balance of text and images, and that everything flows smoothly from one page to the next.

Beyond the book creation, we’ve started to focus more on building a presence online. We’ve been publishing more regular blog posts where we share updates on the project, our experiences with travel, and tips for parents. This has been a fun way to connect with the potential community we hope to build, but so far, there’s been little to no traffic. Despite our best efforts, it’s become clear that simply publishing good content isn’t enough—getting eyes on it is an entirely different challenge.

This has made us realize that marketing is probably going to be the toughest part of this little venture. Reaching families and readers who would enjoy Captain Pillowbelly’s stories is going to take more than we anticipated. From figuring out the right social media platforms to exploring how to engage with potential readers, it’s all new territory for us. We know that marketing will be a learning curve, but it’s a crucial part of making sure these stories actually reach the children and families we created them for.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be focusing more on figuring out this marketing puzzle—whether through social media, blog outreach, or possibly collaborating with parenting communities. We’re also considering ways to make the website more engaging to encourage visitors to stay longer and explore what we have to offer.

For now, the priority remains on finalizing the stories and getting them ready for publication. We’re about three weeks away from having everything polished and ready to launch on Amazon, which is incredibly exciting but also a little nerve-wracking. We’re hopeful that once the first book is out there, it will help build momentum.

Thank you so much for following along on this journey. We’ll continue to post regular updates as we move closer to our launch. If you have any tips or suggestions for how we can tackle the marketing aspect, we’d love to hear from you!

Stay tuned—there’s plenty more to come!
